DHAKA, Jan 06, 2025 (BSS) – Social Welfare Adviser Sharmeen S Murshid overnight distributed blankets among floating and helpless people at Kamalapur Railway Station, the ministry said today in a press release.

   “The Social Welfare Ministry has been providing different services through its offices to poor people in remote areas of the country for social integration and improvement of their life,” the press release quoted her as saying.

    She said the ministry was implementing various projects for wellbeing of the backward and underprivileged people by undertaking different welfare oriented projects.

   During distribution of blankets Murshid talked to floating people and enquired about their wellbeing.

   Secretary of Women and Children Affairs Mamtaz Ahmed, secretary of Social Welfare Affairs Dr Md Mahiuddin and officials concerned accompanied her.
