DHAKA, Jan 7, 2025 (BSS) - Former Prime Minister and BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia today sought doa from the countrymen so that she could return to the country with better health.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir disclosed the matter to the media after seeing off BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport tonight.

Begum Khaleda Zia left Dhaka for London by a special air ambulance, provided by Qatar's emir, from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 11:45pm.

"Before leaving, she (Begum Khaleda Zia) sought doa from the countrymen," said Fakhrul quoting Begum Khaleda Zia.

"May Allah keep the country and its people well," Fakhrul said, citing his leader Khaleda Zia.

Fakhrul hoped for his leader's safe return to the country after advanced treatment.

The national leader was at last freed from all false cases and could be able to go to London for treatment following the downfall of the fascist-Hasina government through the student-people mass uprising, Fakhrul said.
