ACC files case against former MP Iqbalur Rahim, his wife

DHAKA, Jan 8, 2025 (BSS) - The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today filed two cases against former lawmaker of Dinajpur-3 constituency Iqbalur Rahman and his wife Nadira Sultana on charges of amassing illegal wealth beyond known sources of income.

ACC Director General (Prevention) Md Akther Hossain confirmed it saying that two cases against Iqbalur Rahim and his wife Nadira Sultana were filed with ACC under sections 27(1) of the Anti-Corruption Commission Act, 2004, 4(2) and 4(3) of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2012, and 5(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1947.
