SP Mohiuddin Faruqi suspended

DHAKA, Jan 9, 2025 (BSS) – The government today suspended, Muhammad Mohiuddin Faruqi, Superintendent of Police (SP), of Police Special Training School (PSTS), Betbunia, Rangamati.

The Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a gazette notification in this regard, signed by Secretary Nasimul Gani.

According to the notification, he has been suspended from government service in the public interest as per the provisions of section 57 of the Public Service Act, 2018.

“During his suspension, Faruqi will be attached to the APBn and Specialized Training Centre, Khagrachhari and will receive subsistence allowance as per rules,” it said.

Earlier, on November 13, 2024 Investigative Officer Sub Inspector Md Russel along with police force arrested Mohammad Mohiuddin Faruqi from PSTS, Betbunia in connection with a case filed with Jatrabari Police Station.
