Jahangir warns of tougher action against creating artificial crisis of fertiliser

DHAKA, Jan 14, 2025 (BSS) - Agriculture Adviser Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury today sounded of taking stern action against creating artificial crisis of fertilizer, reiterating that there is no scarcity of fertiliser in the country.

"The message for the farmers is that there is no crisis of fertiliser (in the country). If anyone tries to create artificial crisis of the fertiliser, they will have to face the music," he said.

He made the remarks after coming out of a view exchange meeting with divisional officers in Mymensingh district.

The Home Adviser said the dealers who will be found involved in creating artificial crisis of fertiliser, their 
dealership will be cancelled from next month.

"In no way, they will be spared," he said.
 
The Agriculture Adviser assured the farmers of getting fertiliser on time.

"Farmers must get the fertiliser at fair price," he said.
