Adviser Bidhan visits Magura's Arpara Model Govt Primary School

DHAKA, April 20, 2025 (BSS) - Prof Dr Bidhan Ranjan Roy Poddar, Adviser to Primary and Mass Education, today visited Arpara Model Government Primary School, winner of the National Primary Education Medal, in Shalikha upazila of Magura district. 

The adviser expressed satisfaction after visiting school ground where he inspected students' parade presented honouring him.

He also talked to the teachers, guardians and students of the school.

While talking to the journalists, the Adviser said, "I am impressed to be here . . . I am happy to see this school's extracurricular activities. I really liked the orderly parade of the students."

Prof Bidhan Roy said the construction work of new buildings of various government primary schools in Magura will start in phases.

He also wished that the students would develop themselves as worthy citizens of the nation in the days to come.

Among others, Additional Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education Mohammad Atiqur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Ohidul Islam, Deputy Director of the Directorate of Primary Education Khulna Division Dr Shafiqul Islam, Magura District Primary Education Officer Md Amirul Islam and Headmaster of the school Yasmin Akhter were present. 

Arpara Model Government Primary School has a total of 786 students, including 399 boys and 387 girls. 

The school secured first place in the National Primary Education Medal at the national level in 2017, while its headmaster secured first position in the same year, the release added.
