DHAKA, April 23, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) has demanded a campus without fear and a safe and education-friendly environment in Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET).

Besides, it demanded punishment of the offenders through a fair investigation.

The organization made this demand in a statement signed by JCD Office Secretary Md Jahangir Alam today.

The statement said that as per the expectations of the general students of KUET, there should be a campus without fear, and a safe, fair and session-free natural academic environment and a cordial atmosphere among the students.

It mentioned that an unpleasant incident had recently occurred in KUET. Some students of the institution collected Chhatra Dal forms outside the campus as politics is prohibited inside the campus.

But when these students came to the campus, they were beaten up through a planned way.

Video footages are available in this regard in various media and social media platforms.

Later, some unruly students involved in the mob clashed with local businessmen.

In this situation, the incident spread inside and outside the campus.

In the continuation of the incident, KUET teachers were also insulted by the mob leaders, which is very sad and unethical.

Chhatra Dal demands a fair trial with an impartial investigation into each incident that occurred.
