DHAKA, June 18, 2023 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department today predicted rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind over the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am.

"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country," said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.

Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin said.

The highest temperature on Tuesday was recorded 35.8 degrees Celsius in Sylhet, while today's minimum temperature was 23.3 degrees Celsius in Bandarban.

The sun sets at 6:48 pm today and rises at 5:12 am tomorrow in the capital.
