KU to facilitate accreditation process through software: VC

KHULNA, June 18, 2025 (BSS) - Khulna University (KU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim said that the university is taking significant strides toward achieving academic accreditation, aiming to enhance the quality of higher education and secure international recognition.

The VC made this remarks on Tuesday afternoon while addressing a workshop titled "Program-Level Accreditation, BAC Accreditation, and Standard-4 Curriculum", organized by the university's Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).

Highlighting the global trend among leading universities toward accreditation, the VC said, "Achieving accreditation is essential for elevating the standard of education and gaining global credibility. Khulna University is treating this process with the utmost priority."

To streamline and track the progress of accreditation efforts, the university is developing specialized software. 

"This software will provide real-time access to relevant data and ensure greater transparency and efficiency," he noted, adding that teachers must take on increased responsibility to support the process from their respective roles.

The workshop featured presentations by IQAC Director Prof Dr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman and Additional Directors Prof Dr. Md. Salah Uddin, Prof Dr. Md. Wasiul Islam and Prof Dr. S. M. Towhidur Rahman. 

They provided insights into the structure, stages and evaluation techniques involved in the accreditation process.

Additionally, Prof Dr. Mustofa Mahmud Hasan, Director of IQAC at Khwaja Younus Ali University, delivered an in-depth discussion on BAC accreditation and Standard-4 curriculum development.

Faculty members from relevant disciplines of KU participated actively in the workshop.
