EC holds seventh meeting on various issues

DHAKA, June 19, 2025 (BSS)- The Election Commission (EC) today holds its seventh meeting for discussing on code of conducts for political parties and candidates.

The meeting also discussed on the issue of delimitation of the constituencies, director PR of the EC said.

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin presided over the meeting held at Nirbachon Bhaban at Agargaon.

CEC, four other election commissioners, EC secretary and other concerned officials were present.

The government has issued the Parliamentary Constituencies Delimitation (amendment) Ordinance-2025 on May 12.

The EC so far has received 607 applications for delimitation of 75 constituencies of the Jatiya Sangsad, said commissioner Abul Fazal M Sanaullah.
