DHAKA, July 24, 2025 (BSS) - A Dubai-Chattogram-Dhaka flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines made a precautionary return to Shah Amanat International Airport this morning due to a technical issue, the airline said in a press release.

The flight, BG 148, carrying 287 passengers, had initially landed safely in Chattogram at 7:15 am.

It departed for Dhaka at 8:37 am but was forced to return and landed safely at 8:58 am after a technical fault was detected mid-air.

"All passengers are safe, and the aircraft is currently positioned at Bay No. 8 of Shah Amanat International Airport," said the Biman press release.

Biman arranged for an alternative flight, BG 122, to carry the affected passengers to Dhaka.

The alternative flight departed Chattogram at 10:50 am, official said.
