DHAKA, Oct 20, 2025 (BSS) – Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Land ASM Saleh Ahmed today said that one of the government’s key priorities is to ensure corruption-free, people-friendly, and technology-driven land services.

“Land is closely linked to the economic security, social status, and overall progress of citizens. Therefore, ensuring transparency, accountability, and corruption-free services in land administration activities is crucial,” he said.

The senior secretary made the remarks while addressing the Training of Trainers (TOT) programme for officials and employees of four districts under the Chittagong Division—Feni, Chandpur, Brahmanbaria, and Cumilla—on Enhanced Automated Land Services at the seminar room of the BCS Administration Academy in the capital.

Through digital transformation in land management, Saleh Ahmed said, the general public can now access land services from home. This transformation has not only increased public convenience but also reduced opportunities for corruption, he noted, adding that honesty, professionalism, and responsibility among administrative officials are the cornerstones of the system.

He further said that if land officials and employees discharge their duties with integrity, irregularities, bribery, brokerage, and harassment in land offices will be significantly reduced.

The use of information technology in administrative activities has grown rapidly worldwide, he observed, adding that land management in Bangladesh is no exception.

He said the administration has brought about a revolutionary change by introducing automation at every stage of land service delivery. This ensures speed, transparency, and accountability in citizen services, he added.

Above all, Saleh Ahmed said, the automated land service stands as a shining example of service-oriented and technology-based governance. Owing to the dedication, efficiency, and leadership of the administration, land management has now become modern, transparent, and people-friendly, he added.

“If this practice continues in the future, Bangladesh’s land administration will emerge as an exemplary model for the world,” the senior secretary said.
