Employees must uphold honesty, responsibility: Land Secy

DHAKA, Oct 21, 2025 (BSS) - Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Land ASM Saleh Ahmed today said that employees of the republic must uphold honesty, responsibility, and patriotism to move the country forward on the path of development.

"These three qualities are the main foundation of building human character and the driving force of the nation's progress," he said while addressing a monthly coordination meeting of the ministry at the Secretariat here.

The senior secretary said that the best use of land and delivery of people-friendly land services must be ensured through transparent, efficient, modern, and sustainable land management. Socio-economic development should be achieved through the modernization of land management, protection of agricultural land, environmental development, food security, and poverty alleviation using science and information technology, he added.

Saleh Ahmed said, "We must work with all sincerity to create a livable environment for the current and future population through well-planned use of non-agricultural land, reducing the risks of climate change, and solving land-related problems." 

Land Reforms Board Chairman AKM Salahuddin Nagri, Land Appeal Board Chairman Dr Mahmud Hasan, Land Record and Survey Department Director General Md Saidur Rahman, and additional secretaries of the ministry were present at the meeting.
