KHULNA, Oct 21, 2025 (BSS) – Chairman of the board of directors of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) journalist Anwar Aldin today made 12-point promises while visiting the people in the two coastal upazilas, Koyra and Paikgacha, of the country’s southern region.
He is seeking nomination from BNP for the Khulna-6 constituency. Earlier, he conducted public outreach in the area based on the 31-point outline announced by BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, said a press release.
“The people of Koyra and Paikgacha have a strong desire for change. They want a society free from terrorism, extortion, and harassment. I want to stand by the people on the path of this change and work to build Koyra they dream of,” said Anwar Aldin, also joint editor of the daily Ittefaq.
The senior journalist highlighted the many hardships faced by coastal communities, including natural disasters, unemployment, inadequate healthcare, drugs, and crime. To address these challenges, he has announced 12 promises with further plans to follow based on priority.
Key Promises:
1.Ensure accessible healthcare for every member of every family in all villages and neighborhoods; modern hospitals will be established with qualified doctors, nurses, and sufficient emergency medicines.
2.Maintain a peaceful environment for education; provide employment opportunities for educated, semi-educated, and uneducated unemployed individuals.
3.The MP candidate himself will directly support every business and trader in the local market.
4.Open play facilities will be ensured for the youth of every village and upazila.
5.The only road in the communication system at the village level and upazila level will be made wide and smooth. Modern facilities and police security and adequate lighting will be ensured in roads for night time.
6.Adequate playgrounds will be created for the children and adolescents of every neighborhood, upazila.
7.Safe residential houses will be built for every deprived elderly person in the village and upazila.
8.The MP candidate himself will personally supervise whether all the grants allocated from the national budget and the allocated money distribution process are being done properly among the residents of Koyra-Paikgacha and if anyone commits any kind of crime in the distribution, he will take action against them.
9.The MP candidate will have a direct "hot line number" for every citizen of the village, mahalla, upazila to give and receive any kind of problem, suggestion, complaint, where the MP candidate will talk to the public about the complaint himself or his nominee will talk directly about the problem and solve it.
10.Every citizen of Koyra and Paikgachha will be provided with guaranteed social security.
11.Sufficient amount of medicinal plants will be planted in every village to protect the environment.
12.The entire boundary of Koyra-Paikgachha will always be provided with peace and security by the police administration and the local government administration.
