Health officials report two deaths, 762 fresh cases of dengue inflection overnight

DHAKA, Oct 22, 2025 (BSS) - Health officials today said they recorded 762 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts killing at least two persons in the past 24 hours.

"During the period, (of the 762) 129 patients were hospitalized in Barishal division, 79 in Chattogram division, 170 in Dhaka division excluding the capital, 100 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and 160 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) areas, 40 in Khulna division, 41 in Mymensingh division, 39 in Rajshahi division, three in Rangpur division and one in Sylhet division, a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) statement said.

Since the start of the dengue onslaughts Bangladesh this year witnessed so far 255 deaths while the disease inflicted 62,367.

The dengue last year claimed 575 lives and inflicted 1,01,214 people in the country.
