DHAKA, Oct 24, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Bridge Authority (BBA) has announced an overnight traffic diversion at the Karnaphuli Tunnel to carry out scheduled maintenance work.

The maintenance will begin tomorrow and continue until October 30, according to a press release issued by the BBA.

The diversions will be in effect during overnight hours, from 11 pm to 5 am.

During this period, traffic will remain operational but will be carefully managed by diverting vehicles through either the 'Patenga to Anwara' or the 'Anwara to Patenga' tube, depending on the maintenance requirements.

Passengers may experience waiting times of 5-10 minutes at both ends of the tunnel, depending on traffic volume, the release added.

The BBA has appealed for the sincere cooperation of citizens to ensure the safe and efficient completion of the maintenance work.
