DHAKA, Oct 26, 2025 (BSS) - Religious Affairs Adviser Dr AFM Khalid Hossain has said that following the ideals and teachings of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) can enlighten human life and bring success in both this world and the hereafter.

"True welfare lies in living life according to the ideals of the Prophet (PBUH). If we can follow his teachings, we will attain success in this world and in the hereafter," he told a discussion marking Siratun Nabi (PBUH) at Gulshan this afternoon.

The event was organized by the Education, Culture, Research, and Public Relations Sub-Committee of the Gulshan Central Mosque and Eidgah Society.

The adviser urged all to follow the Prophet's life and moral example in every aspect of life. "Sin destroys people. Those who commit sins must repent and return to the path of righteousness," he said, calling on everyone to live a simple and modest life.

Highlighting the importance of lawful earnings, Dr Khalid said, "The foremost condition for acceptance of worship is earning through halal means. Wealth obtained through unlawful means corrupts the soul, and such a person will not enter Paradise. Their prayers, fasting, hajj, or zakat will not be accepted."

He also reminded that every person is accountable to Almighty Allah for their deeds. "One may escape the reach of the Anti-Corruption Commission, but not from Allah's justice. Reward awaits those who do good, while sinners will face severe punishment," he added, urging all to refrain from wrongdoing.

Chaired by Major (Retd.) A Matin Chowdhury, President of the Gulshan Central Mosque and Eidgah Society, it was also addressed by the society's Vice-President Lutful Kabir Sadi.

Later, the adviser distributed prizes among the winners of calligraphy, Islamic knowledge, and essay writing competitions.
