DHAKA, Oct 27, 2025 (BSS) - The High Court (HC) today received a writ 
petition that pleaded for its order to form a committee to verify and ensure 
the quality of bearing pads used in metro rail and flyovers across the 
country.

Supreme Court lawyer Barrister Abdullah Al Mamun filed the petition as public 
interest litigation.

Officials concerned including the Secretary of the Ministry of Road Transport 
and Bridges and managing director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd, have 
been made respondents in the petition.

The petition is likely to be heard by a High Court division bench headed by 
Justice Fahmida Quader.
