Govt. will thoroughly discuss NCC’s recommendations, hopes BNP

DHAKA, Oct 28, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed today expressed the hope that the Advisery Council and the government will thoroughly discuss the recommendations of the National Consensus Commission (NCC) and adopt a process that will have a constitutional basis.

He made these remarks to journalists after a meeting with Law Adviser Professor Asif Nazrul at the Law Ministry in the Secretariat here.

Salahuddin Ahmed said, "The National Consensus Commission wanted to complete its activities by making some recommendations just to get rid of its responsibility or 'to be discharged'."

"We hope the Advisery Council and the government will thoroughly discuss the recommendationsand and adopt a process that will have a constitutional basis,” he added.
