DHAKA, Nov 2, 2025 (BSS)- National Citizen Party (NCP) will contest in all 300 constituencies in the upcoming national election with election symbol ‘Shapla Koli’ (water lily bud).

Chief Coordinator of the Nasiruddin Patwari said his party has taken the decision giving highest importance to national interests.

“We are taking the Shapla Koli symbol and will nominate candidates in all 300 constituencies with the symbol,” Patwari told reporters after a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital.

He hoped there will be a neck-and-neck contest between the “Shapla Koli” and the “Sheaf of Paddy” in the coming election.

Earlier, on October 30, the Election Commission (EC) published a gazette listing 119 electoral symbols, including the Shapla Koli, for registered political parties and independent candidates.
