DHAKA, Nov 2, 2025 -Police arrested 14 people in a day-long special drive in the Mohammadpur area for their alleged involvement in various criminal activities.

The detainees have been identified as Riyad ,28, Mehedi Hasan Babu alias Paper Babu ,31, Mobarak ,23, Monir ,26, Asma ,22, Nurul Amin,65, ,Iran ,35, Hridoy,33, Sohag Gazi ,30, Sabuj ,38, Mofizul ,30, Golapi alias Sujan ,36, Monir ,38, and Roni,27 - face charges under multiple cases, including theft, speedy trial offenses, outstanding warrants, and the DMP Ordinance Act.

According to police sources, the operation was conducted throughout Saturday in several parts of Mohammadpur to curb rising crime in the area. 

An official from Mohammadpur Police Station stated that such special drives will continue regularly to strengthen law and order in the capital.
