DHAKA, Nov 3, 2025 (BSS) – The government has promoted three additional secretaries to the rank of secretary, while planning division got a new secretary.

The public administration ministry issued four separate gazette notifications in this regard here yesterday.

According to three separate notifications, additional secretary attached to the finance division Bilkis Jahan Rimi has been promoted to the rank of secretary and posted to textile and jute ministry, additional secretary of energy and mineral resources division Dr Nurunnahar Chowdhury was promoted to secretary and posted to shipping ministry and additional secretary of Agriculture ministry M Showkat Rashid Chowdhury has been promoted to the rank of secretary and posted to rural development and cooperatives division.

Besides, another notification said that Secretary attached to the public administration ministry, SM Shakil Akhtar, has been posted to planning division as secretary.

The order issued for public interest will come into effect immediately.
