Govt appoints 41 new DAGs, 67 AAGs

DHAKA, Nov 04, 2025 (BSS) - The government today appointed 41 new deputy attorney generals (DAG), and 67 assistant attorney generals (AAG) to represent the state in cases before the Appellate and High Court Divisions of the Supreme Court.

The solicitor wing of the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs issued separate gazette notifications, saying their appointments would come into effect immediately.

The government also cancelled appointment of 18 AAGs, who were appointed on August 28, 2024. A total of 66 DAGs and 161 AAGs were appointed on that day.
