DHAKA, Nov 5, 2025 (BSS) - The Election Commission (EC) has directed 
authorities concerned to dispose of all expatriate Bangladeshis' voter 
registration applications, submitted online by October 31, 2025, by tomorrow 
(November 6).

The directive was issued in a letter signed on Tuesday by Khan Abi Shahanur 
Khan, director (Registration and Expatriates) of the National Identity 
Registration Wing under the EC. 

The instruction has been sent to all regional, district and upazila election 
officers.

According to the letter, applications of expatriates who have completed their 
biometric process are available under the NRB menu of the CMS online portal. 

The respective officials have been asked to verify the applications on-site, 
upload the investigation reports to the CMS portal and approve or reject them 
within the stipulated time.

The letter also mentioned that applications submitted on or after September 1 
without required documents should be marked as "documents not attached". 

Investigations for such cases will be completed once the documents are 
provided, it added.
