Law adviser condemns killing of judge’s son in Rajshahi, orders swift action

DHAKA, Nov 13, 2025 (BSS) – Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul today strongly condemned the brutal attack at the residence of Rajshahi Metropolitan Sessions Judge Mohammad Abdur Rahman, which left his son, Taosif Rahman (Suman), dead and his wife, Tasmin Nahar, seriously injured.
 
 Following the incident, instructions were given to the police to arrest all those involved and ensure a thorough investigation at the earliest possible time, an official release said.
 
 In line with the directive, the concerned law enforcement agencies have already taken immediate steps.
 
The government is closely monitoring the medical treatment of the injured, Tasmin Nahar, to ensure her proper care while maintaining constant communication with the authorities at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
 
 Dr Asif Nazrul expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family and wished the injured speedy recovery. He also said that the government will take all necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of members of the judiciary and their families.
