Workshop on 'Post Retirement Financial Issues for Teachers' held at JU

JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, Nov 16, 2025 (BSS) - A workshop titled 'Post Retirement Financial Issues for Teachers' was held at Jahangirnagar University (JU) today.

Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organised the event around 11:30 am at the IQAC conference room of old registrar building.

Speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural session, JU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan said, "Retirement is a form of fulfilment and both life and expectation have endings."

He stressed the need for mentally preparing for the closing phase of one's professional life, expressing hope that the workshop would help teachers plan better for their post-retirement future.

The programme was presided over by IQAC Director Professor Dr. Md. Sohel Rana, while the event featured a keynote presentation by JU Comptroller Md. Mosanul Kabir. 

The inaugural session was conducted by IQAC Additional Director Professor Dr. Shamim Al Mamun. Senior teachers from various departments of the university participated in the workshop.
