CJ to inaugurate renovated ICT-2 courtroom on Dec 17

 DHAKA, Dec 14, 2025 (BSS) - Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed will inaugurate the renovated courtroom of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 on December 17.
 
Confirming the matter to journalists, ICT prosecutor Gazi MH Tamim said the chief justice will inaugurate the ICT-2 at 3 pm on December 17.
 
The ICT-2 was constituted on May 8, 2025, with Justice Nazrul Islam Chowdhury of the High Court Division as its Chairman, while retired district and sessions judge Md Manjurul Basid and District and Sessions Judge Nur Mohammad Shahriar Kabir were appointed as members. 
 
The tribunal began its journey at the makeshift courtroom, where the three judges were given a reception on June 17.
 
Earlier, on January 7, 2025, Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed had inaugurated the renovated main building and courtroom of the ICT-1.
