Online applications for MPO enlistment open till Jan 25

DHAKA, Jan 8, 2026 (BSS) – The Ministry of Education has issued a public notice inviting online applications for enlistment of non-government schools and colleges under the Monthly Pay Order (MPO) system by January 25.

Applications will be accepted online from January 14 to January 25, 2026 for inclusion of non-government educational institutions (schools and colleges) under the MPO system for the 2025–26 fiscal year, said a ministry release today.

The ministry said applications must be submitted through the link titled “Online MPO Application” available on the websites of the Secondary and Higher Education Division, the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE), and the Bangladesh Bureau of Educational Information and Statistics (BANBEIS).

It clarified that no applications will be accepted directly, through email, or via hard copy by the Secondary and Higher Education Division or any of its subordinate offices.
 
Applicants must complete the process by following the guidelines attached to the online application link. Applications submitted through hard copy will not be accepted, it added.

The entire process of MPO enlistment for new non-government educational institutions will be completed digitally. Based on the prescribed criteria under the MPO Policy-2025, a list of eligible institutions will be prepared, it said.

The government has reserved the right to take any decision in this regard. The notification was issued with the approval of the competent authority.
