96 ASPs transferred for six-month practical training

DHAKA, Jan 14, 2026 (BSS) - The government has transferred 96 probationary Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) to various units and districts for six-month practical training.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Baharul Alam issued the order in this regard yesterday.

According to the notification, the training programme is being implemented as per Regulation 790 of PRB Volume-I with the consent of the Election Commission and the Home Ministry.

The ASPs will draw their salaries and allowances from their respective units, it said.

The order will come into effect immediately, the notification added.

Earlier, the 96 ASPs completed a one-year basic training course at the Bangladesh Police Academy in Sardah, Rajshahi.
