DHAKA, Jan 15, 2026 (BSS)- A humanitarian music concert titled 'Kuashar Gaan' will be held at Dhaka University on January 17 to support people suffering from the harsh winter.

Powered by City Bank, the concert is being presented by X FORCE, and jointly organised by Spirits of July and the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU).

The event will take place on Saturday at 4 pm at the Dhaka University Central Playground.

Popular bands and artists from across the country will perform at the concert. The participating bands include Krishnopokkho, Avash, Chirkut and Ashes.

According to the organizers, performances will begin at 4 pm and continue sequentially.

Ehsan Druba, Chief Convener of Spirits of July, said the main objective of the concert is to use music as a medium to stand beside people in need, adding that public participation will make the initiative meaningful.

DUCSU Literature and Culture Secretary Musaddeq Ali Ibne Mohammad said students have been waiting for a winter concert on campus for a long time, and 'Kuashar Gaan' is expected to meet that expectation and support the cold-hit people.

The organisers expressed hope that people from all walks of life will join the concert and contribute to the charitable initiative for cold-affected people.
