DHAKA, Jan 22, 2026 (BSS) - The historic Jatra-Pala 'General Osmani' will be performed on Friday evening at the concluding ceremony of the month-long Jatra-Pala festival at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy here. 

Cultural Affairs Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki will attend the function as the chief guest at the Academy's Experimental Theatre Hall at 6 pm.

Earlier, the Jatra artists participated in a city parade at 2:30 pm. The procession began from Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, passed through Doel Chattar and Shahbagh, and concluded back at the Academy.

Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy hosted the month-long Jatra-Pala festival, organized with the initiative of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. The festival brought together numerous Jatra artists from different parts of the country.
