Police to wear hidden cameras during polls: EC

DHAKA, Feb 11, 2026 (BSS) - Police personnel deployed at polling centres for the 13th National Parliamentary Elections and referendum tomorrow will wear hidden cameras as part of enhanced security measures, the Election Commission (EC) said today.

The information was disclosed in a statement signed by EC Director (Public Relations) M. Ruhul Amin Mallik.

According to the statement, the EC will continuously monitor polling centres through closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras. In addition, drones will be used to monitor surrounding areas.

The commission said all activities aimed at creating disorder or anarchy will be recorded, and strict action will be taken against those involved.

The EC has urged all concerned to refrain from any illegal activities during the election process.
