Salahuddin Ahmed casts vote at Pekua GMC Institute Centre in Cox’s Bazar

COX’S BAZAR, Feb 12, 2026 (BSS) - BNP Standing Committee Member and candidate for Cox’s Bazar-1 constituency Salahuddin Ahmed cast his vote at the Pekua GMC Institute centre in Cox’s Bazar on Thursday.

Speaking to reporters after voting, Salahuddin expressed his satisfaction and emotion over participating in the election. “I am very happy to vote. I cannot express my feelings. Insha Allah, I am hopeful that the people of this area will vote in favor of Sheaf of Paddy in the interest of development and prosperity,” he said, referring to his party’s electoral symbol.

He voiced confidence in the support of the electorate, stating that the people of the constituency have repeatedly elected him in the past. “Every time I have been elected in this constituency, the people have made me victorious. They love me, trust me, and consider me a friend. I also have the same love for them,” he added.

Salahuddin also said he had waited 17 years for such an opportunity where voters could cast their ballots freely in a festive atmosphere.
