BNP candidate Nitai Roy Chowdhury wins Magura-2

DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - BNP candidate Nitai Roy Chowdhury has been elected unofficially from Magura-2 constituency in the 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Election.

He bagged 1,47,896 votes, while his nearest rival Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Mustarshid Billah got 1,17,018 votes.

In the referendum, 1,57,523 voters cast votes for 'Yes' while 1,03,980 others cast 'No' votes. 

Election Commission Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed announced the result at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital's Agargaon today.
