Govt appoints Mamun Shibly as PM's APS-1

DHAKA, Feb 17, 2026 (BSS) – Senior assistant secretary of public administration ministry Mohammad Mamun Shibly has been appointed as the assistant private secretary-1 (APS-1) to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification signed by senior assistant secretary Samiul Amin in this regard here today.

“The ministry issued the notification and appointed Mohammad Mamun Shibly as APS-1 in line with the desire of the prime minister,” the notification said. 

It mentioned that the APS-1 will remain in office for the duration of the Prime Minister's term or subject to his desire.

The order will come into effect immediately, the notification said.
