
DHAKA, April 16, 2026 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will begin interviews with aspirants for reserved women's seats in the national parliament tomorrow (April 17).
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General and Prime Minister's Political Adviser Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the schedule at an emergency press conference held at the party's central office in Naya Paltan this afternoon.
He said a large number of aspirants submitted nomination forms for the reserved women seats in the 13th National Parliament election.
In view of this, the party's nomination board will start interviewing candidates from 3:00pm on Friday and the process will continue until 3:00pm on Saturday (April 18).
Rizvi said the nomination board meeting will be chaired by BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman, also the Prime Minister.
Members of the party's standing committee will also attend the meeting, he added.
According to the schedule, aspirants from Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal and Faridpur organisational divisions will be interviewed on Friday.
On Saturday, aspirants from Chattogram, Sylhet, Cumilla, Dhaka and Mymensingh organisational divisions will appear before the board.
