Int’l Inner Wheel delegation pays courtesy call on President

DHAKA, June 23, 2026 (BSS) – President Mohammed Shahabuddin today appreciated the humanitarian and social welfare activities of the International Inner Wheel (IIW) when its President, Kay Morland, paid a courtesy call on him at Bangabhaban this afternoon.

During the meeting, the Head of State expressed hope that the organisation would further expand its services in social development, environmental protection, and the welfare of women and children, according to the President's Press Wing.

The delegation briefed the President on the organisation's activities aimed at improving education, healthcare, protection, rights and living standards of underprivileged and disadvantaged women and children.

President Shahabuddin praised the social and humanitarian services being carried out by the organisation's members at home and abroad.

Expressing optimism about the future of the UK-based voluntary organisation, he said IIW would continue to broaden its service-oriented activities on a larger scale in the coming days.

Members of the delegation thanked the President for his valuable guidance and encouraging remarks and reaffirmed their commitment to continuing welfare-oriented activities for the society.

Chairman of Inner Wheel District 345 Mushayla Karim, former Board Director Dilruba Ahmed, Webmaster Sharmin Hossain and Vice-Chairman Shirin Akter, among others, were present.

Secretaries concerned to the President also attended the meeting.
