RAJSHAHI, Aug 25, 2025 (BSS) - A five-member delegation from West Yunnan University, China, who are currently visiting the University of Rajshahi (RU), visited the Faculty of Agriculture, Fisheries and Veterinary and Animal Sciences today.
 
During the visit, they observed the academic and research infrastructure of the departments under these faculties.
 
Later, they held an exchange meeting with the chairpersons and faculty members of the departments.
 
At that time, they were briefed on the course curriculum and related matters of the departments.
 
Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Abdul Alim and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) Professor Mamunur Rashid, along with deans of various faculties, were present there.
 
During the exchange meeting, cooperation between RU and the Chinese university in the fields of Agriculture, Fisheries and Veterinary and Animal Sciences education was discussed. 

It was also decided that necessary steps will be taken in this regard in the future.
 
On the occasion, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) said, China is a good friend of Bangladesh. 

They have been providing various kinds of cooperation in the education sector of Bangladesh. RU will benefit from this cooperation. 

There is a bright prospect for cooperation with China in the field of higher education and research in science and technology and agricultural science. 

“We have to take this opportunity to advance RU in agricultural science,” he said. He called upon the authorities of the departments to take necessary steps to that end.
