11-member ad hoc committee formed for Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad

DHAKA, June 24, 2025 (BSS) - An 11-member ad hoc committee has been formed to oversee the activities of the Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad with Md Nayem Jahangir as convener.

Shahina Khatun, Director General of the Jatiya Muktijoddha Council, said in a press release today.

The members of the newly formed committee are: Major (Retd) Syed Munibur Rahman, Sadeq Ahmed Khan, Syed Abul Bashar, Sirajul Haque, Alhaj Md Mansur Ali Sarkar, Anil Baran Roy, Alhaj Nurul Islam, Abdullah Hil Safi, Jahangir Kabir and Engineer Zakaria Ahmed.

The ad hoc committee will operate in line with the relevant laws, rules and the constitution of the Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad.

It has been tasked with organizing elections within the next six months and handing over responsibilities to a newly elected committee.
