Rashik is the son of Amiruzzaman, an assistant teacher at Darus Sunnat Alim Madrasa.
The support was delivered on Thursday at the family’s residence under the overall supervision of Amra BNP Paribar convener Atiqur Rahman Rumon. The assistance was handed over to Rashik’s mother by Kalam Azad, Rajshahi and Rangpur Divisional Coordinator of the BNP Media Cell.
Speaking on the occasion, Kalam Azad said they had come to Nilphamari on the instruction of BNP Acting Chairman and Amra BNP Family’s chief patron Tarique Rahman, to stand by the distressed family.
“Not only party leaders and activists, but the BNP family as a whole is working across the country to support helpless, poor and distressed people,” he added.
Rashik was diagnosed with cancer in 2020. His treatment requires significant monthly expenses, including the cost of two bags of platelets and necessary medicines.
Doctors have recommended a bone marrow transplant, which involves a very high cost.
