DHAKA, Dec 9, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today ordered the attachment of 177
shotangsho of land located in Dhaka and Narayanganj, along with two vehicles,
owned by former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Court's vacation bench judge Mohammad
Abdullah Al Mamun passed the order, allowing a plea of the Anti-Corruption
Commission (ACC).

Investigation Officer and ACC Deputy Director Jahangir Alam stated that the
current market value of the attached properties is Taka 4.79 crore.

The petition stated that ACC has filed the case against Asaduzzaman Khan
Kamal for allegedly acquiring and possessing assets worth Taka 16.41 crore
beyond his known sources of income for conducting suspicious transactions
amounting to Taka 55.92 crore across eight bank accounts.

An Investigating Officer has been appointed to probe the case.

According to the application, it was learned that the accused had been
attempting to sell, transfer or dispose of the illegally acquired assets
elsewhere during the investigation. For the sake of a fair investigation, it
is necessary to attach the properties.
