DHAKA, Jan 19, 2026 (BSS) - The Embassy of Sweden in Dhaka on Monday
clarified that it does not represent any country in matters related to
residence permits or national visas for stays exceeding 90 days, advising
applicants to contact relevant authorities directly.

The embassy said it processes Schengen visa applications only on behalf of
Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Luxembourg, Poland, Slovenia and Sweden.

In a reminder shared as part of its #MigrationMonday outreach, the embassy
emphasised that applications for residence permits or long-term national
visas fall outside its mandate.

"Please note that the Embassy does not represent any other country regarding
residence permits or national visas (stays longer than 90 days). For such
matters, applicants must contact the relevant embassy or migration authority
directly," the embassy said in a statement.

The clarification aimed to prevent confusion among visa applicants to
different countries in Europe.
