DHAKA, Aug 25, 2026 (BSS) - The Motijheel Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan 
Police (DMP) arrested 74 people in separate anti-crime drives during the last 
24 hours.

According to the DMP's media and public relations division press release 
issued here today, saying that the arrests were made during raids carried out 
on August 24 in different areas under the division.

As part of the anti-crime campaign, the DMP has been conducting regular 
operations in different police stations to maintain law and order and control 
crime in the city, it said.

Of the arrested, 11 were by the Motijheel Police Station while 21 by the 
Paltan, five by the Sabujbagh, seven by the Khilgaon, nine by the Rampura, 10 
by the Shahjahanpur and 11 by the Mugda police stations.

Police took legal proceedings against them, the release added.
