DHAKA, Aug 30, 2026 (BSS) - Police arrested 56 people in a regular anti-crime drive in different areas under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Motijheel division on Saturday.

According to a DMP press release, the drive was conducted in various crime-prone areas of the division.

Of the arrested, 3 were held by Motijheel police, 11 by Paltan police, 7 by Sabujbagh police, 15 by Khilgaon police, 4 by Rampura police, 4 by Shahjahanpur police and 12 by Mugda police.

Legal proceedings against the arrested people are underway.
