RAJSHAHI, Aug 31, 2026 (BSS)- Rajshahi Metropolitan BNP have taken extensive preparations here to celebrate the 48th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on September 1.
 
On the occasion, extensive decorations have been done at the party office, various important roads, intersections and crowded areas of the city. 

As a result, a festive mood of decoration is now prevailing in the city.
 
To mark the founding anniversary, banners and festoons have been installed at various important intersections and road islands in Rajshahi metropolis. In addition, overhead billboards and banners have been installed at various crowded places.

LED displays have been installed at important intersections. These LED displays are showcasing the history and heritage of BNP as well as various development activities and achievements of the current government led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
 
Extensive enthusiasm has been observed among the leaders and activists of Metropolitan BNP to mark the day. A festive atmosphere has been created in the city with extensive preparations.
 
On the occasion, the party flag will be hoisted at 7 am on September 1 at the Rajshahi Metropolitan BNP party office while a colorful rally will be brought out at 4 pm from Batar Mor. 

In addition, the affiliated and associated organisations will distribute food among the destitute at a convenient time on the day.
 
Regarding this, the Administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) and General Secretary of Metropolitan BNP Mahfuzur Rahman Riton said as part of the central programme of BNP, extensive preparations have been made to successfully celebrate the founding anniversary in Rajshahi.
 
Various programmes will be organised in coordination with the central programme.
 
He said various important roads, intersections, road islands and crowded areas of the city have been decorated with banners, festoons, billboards and LED displays to mark the party's 48th founding anniversary.

The glory, tradition, struggle and glorious journey of success of BNP and the various development activities of the present government led by BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman are being highlighted.
 
He further said the leaders and activists of Metropolitan BNP and its affiliated and associated organisations are working in coordination to 
complete the programmes of the founding anniversary successfully and in a disciplined manner.
