DHAKA, April 19, 2025 (BSS)- Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC)
administrator Mohammad Azaz said the football tournament will begin at every
word of DNCC from next month and cash prize of Taka one lakh would be given
for each word as prize money.

The tournament will be held at 54 worlds of DNCC and a total of cash prize of
54 lakh will be given in the tournament, he said.

He made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest in Cricket-Carnival
2025, jointly organised by DNCC and Sports Arena at Banani Chairmanbari
ground in the capital on Saturday.
 
The DNCC administrator said after the football tournament they have a plan to
organise a cricket tournament in ward-wise. Four tournaments would be held
each year.

Azaz said there would be a separate tournament for women's and many
opportunities for the women's would be created for public space. Cultural
fascism must be countered through sports and cultural activities, he added.

He also hoped to build a fair Dhaka through everyone's cooperation.
