DHAKA, April 20, 2025 (BSS) - Anamul Haque Bijoy became the first Bangladeshi batter to hit 50 centuries in recognized cricket when he slammed 110 not out to lead his side Gazi Group Cricketers to a seven-wicket victory over Legends of Rupganj in Dhaka Premier League (DPL) Super Six match at BKSP-4 ground today.

His 50 centuries came across three formats—24 in first class cricket, 23 in List A and 3 in Twenty20s. Naeem Islam is next to him at this moment with 46 centuries across formats.

Legends of Rupganj which stunned Mohammedan in the first game were bowled out for 223 in 39.2 overs after opting to bat first. Opener Taznid Hasan Tamim made team-high 68 and Saif Hasan hit 55.

The duo shared 101 in just 15.2 overs but a collapse later, inflicted by Sheikh Parvez Jibon ruined their prospect of big total. Jibon claimed 5-35 in seven overs.
Thanks to Bijoy’s unbeaten century, Gazi Group reached 224-3 in 41 overs for their first victory in DPL Super Six. Bijoy hit 10 fours and one six in his innings.

In the previous match, they lost to Gulshan Cricket Club.
