DHAKA, April 20, 2025 (BSS)-Mohammedan Sporting Club hit back to winning way
with a seven-wicket win over Agrani Bank Cricket Club in their second match
of the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) Super Six phase today at BKSP-3 ground.

The victory put them in contention of the title yet again after a stunning
defeat to Legends of Rupganj in a rain-hit game in the first match of the DPL
Super Six.

Put into bat first, Agrani Bank compiled 240-9 after the game was reduced to
42 overs. Saifuddin scalped 4-35 to curb the aggression of the Agrani batters
who looked solid in approach.

Mohammedan reached the winning mark in 36.1 overs with Rony playing the
anchor role.

Before being retired hurt, he smashed 122 from 100 balls, clobbering 10 fours
and five sixes. His fellow opener Anisul Islam made 75.

The duo put on 199 runs for the first wickets to make the chase a cake-walk.
The partnership was broken only when Rony had to retire following an injury
scare.

Mohammedan then lost three wickets in quick succession including that of
Anisul but the victory was imminent.
