DHAKA, Apr 21, 2025 (BSS)- Chinese Tai Chi Center, a popular Chinese sport,  has been inaugurated at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothistan (BKSP) today on the occasion of 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and China, said a press release.

President of Yunnan Minzu University, China, Wang Chi Liang, and BKSP Director General Brigadier General Md. Munirul Islam, inaugurated the Wushu Tai Chi Center by unveiling its name plaque.

Under the BKSP-Yunnan Minzu University Memorandum of Understanding for sports and educational exchange, Yunnan Minzu University authorities expressed interest in opening a Tai Chi Center at BKSP.

After the inauguration, the 22-member Chinese delegation enjoyed a display by BKSP's Wushu trainees. A delightful cultural program was presented to the delegation at the BKSP's audio visual center.

The BKSP Director General expressed his sincere gratitude and thanks to the delegation. At this time, souvenirs were exchanged by the two organizations.

The delegation team finally visited all the existing sports facilities at BKSP, especially the indoor cricket stadium and cricket field, and expressed satisfaction with the infrastructural facilities for sports at BKSP.

It is mentionable that BKSP also expressed interest in providing all types of training activities, infrastructural and technical assistance to establish a cricket training center at Yunnan Minzu University in May/June.  At the same time, BKSP cricket coaches will provide training to the students of the university.

All concerned expressed their hope that through this, the two organizations will play a special role in improving the quality of sports in their respective countries through mutual cooperation.
