Siraj Uddin Md Alamgir made Chef de Mission for upcoming SA Games

DHAKA, April 24, 2025 (BSS)- Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) member 
Siraj Uddin Md Alamgir has been made as Chef de Mission for 14th South Asian 
Games [SA Games] scheduled to be held from January 23-31 in Pakistan next 
year.

The decision has been taken at a BOA executive committee's meeting held at 
Dhaka Cantonment Army Multipurpose Complex today (Wednesday).
 
BOA president and Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman presided over 
the meeting.

The meeting also decided to send teams in 26 disciplines in the SA Games.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Athletics Federation President Major General (retd) Dr 
Nayeem Ashfaque Chowdhury has been made Chef de Mission for the sixth Islamic 
Solidarity Games scheduled to be held in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 
(KSA) from November 7-21. 

The BOA has initially decided to send teams in 11 disciplines in the Games.
 
In the meeting, decision has been taken to send teams in 13 disciplines in 
the third Asian Youth Games which will be held in Bahrain from October 22-31. 
BOA member Brigadier General Md. Humayun Kabir has been made Chef de Mission for the games.
 
The meeting decided to organise the 10th Bangladesh Games in March next year. 
It also decided to hold the Olympic Day on June 23. 

Apart from this, some other decisions have been taken in the meeting.
